| Hole 1
"Lead Off"
A straight-away hole that starts off downhill with a fairway
that slopes from right to left. There's wasteland to the
right of the fairway 240 yds. off the tee, with an uphill
approach shot to a heart-shaped green. Watch for the bunker
guarding the right side of the green.
|
 |
| Hole 2
"Mountain View"
You'll have a downhill tee shot, with the best landing area
being to the right side of the fairway. There's a down-slope
to a green that slopes to the right. Bunkers are right and
left of the green, and watch out for the desert wasteland
with rocks, sand and bushes about 50 yards from the green on
the left side.
|
 |
| Hole 3
"Far Away Green"
Don't be fooled by the easy look of the hole. It's straight,
but the fairway slopes left to right, and there are two
fairway bunkers 250 yds. from the tee on both the left and
right sides of the fairway. If you leave your tee shot short
and to the left, you'll find yourself in lots of trouble in
a wasteland area. The huge, flat green is protected by two
bunkers on the right and one on the left.
|
 |
| Hole 4
"Twin Lakes"
Standing on the green putting, you'll think you can reach
out and touch the mountains, but reality sets in when you
see that your tee shot must carry over two small lakes in
front and right of the green. Miss the green to the left,
and you'll find sand. There's also a trap in back of the
green in case you're long.
|
 |
| Hole 5
"The Monster"
Well-named, this is the toughest hole on the course
requiring good shot making. Your tee shot should be hit to
the right side of the fairway to avoid two fairway bunkers
about 230 yds. from the tee on the left. There's also
wasteland short and left off the tee. Your approach shot
will be uphill towards the mountains to a large green that
undulates in the front before flattening off toward the
rear.
|
 |
| Hole 6
"Signature"
A truly beautiful hole, your tee shot is all-carry over
water in front of a large green that also is guarded by a
bunker in the right-front and two bunkers in back. A bridge
crosses a creek by a green-side waterfall whose sounds will
calm your nerves while chipping or putting.
|
 |
| Hole 7
"Rolling Hills"
A dogleg left, a lake is left of the rolling fairway, with
an island in the middle. The rolling fairway has three traps
on the right and one on the left. You must keep your tee
shot in the middle of the fairway. If you try and go over
the bunker on the left, your drive must carry more than 240
yds. The green, with a swale on the left side, is well
protected - a bunker on the left and two in the back.
|
 |
| Hole 8
"Never-ending"
Let out the shaft on this long, wide fairway, but watch for
the two bunkers on the right and wasteland on the left 240
yds. from the tee. Your second shot must go past the stretch
of wasteland because the fairway slopes towards it. About 70
yds. from the green, there's a bunker, and the fairway
flattens out. Two bunkers guard the left side of the green
while another is along the right side of the undulating
green.
|
 |
| Hole 9
"Sneaky Tough"
This hole looks easy, but don't be fooled! The fairway is
wide, and you must keep your drive on the right side while
avoiding the three fairway bunkers. There's water at the
left, front of the big, uphill green, as well as a bunker.
And, there's also a very large bunker on the right side of
the green. You'll have a great view of the majestic
clubhouse where refreshments await!
|
 |
| Hole 10
"Invisible Green"
You can't see the green from the tee on this dogleg right
hole. The left side of the fairway is hilly, and there's a
large bunker on the right side of the fairway. The biggest
green on the course has two bunkers in front and slopes left
to right. Only very long hitters can cut the dogleg with a
drive that carries 260 yds.
|
 |
| Hole 11
"Down to Up"
You have a downhill tee shot to a fairway with many hills
and slopes. The approach shot is uphill to a green guarded
by a bunker on the right side. Watch out for the wasteland
on the right side of the fairway. The green is undulating
and hard to hold approach shots hit to the back of the
green.
|
 |
| Hole 12
"Latitude Approach"
There is plenty of trouble on this hole, starting with
wasteland short right off the tee, then two bunkers in the
fairway and an uphill approach to a long, skinny green.
About 80-90 yards from the green, the fairway slopes down
and then up to the undulating green that slopes to the
right. About 40 yards from the green is a bunker on the left
side of the fairway and another in front of the green on the
right.
|
 |
| Hole 13
"Latitude Approach"
This downhill hole has wasteland on the right and wasteland
hidden from view beyond the green, so don't be long! There
also are bunkers behind the undulating green that slopes
from left to right.
|
 |
| Hole 14
"Thin Fairway"
This is a shorter par 4, but you need accuracy because the
fairway is narrow. Wasteland on the right will affect your
approach shot if your drive lands in it. The hole runs
downhill and then uphill to a large green with bunkers right
and in the back.
|
 |
| Hole 15
"Left Corner"
A dogleg left, this is one of the longest holes on the
course and it has the smallest of the 18 greens. You'll play
through a valley as you hit your second shot and approach.
There's a bunker 10 yards short of the green on the left,
and there are two bunkers on the right. If you want to cut
the dogleg, your drive will have to carry the bunker on the
left that's 250 yds. from the tee.
|
 |
| Hole 16
"Bunker Haven"
This hole, with a hilly fairway and moguls, lives up to its
name. Starting with wasteland just off the right side of the
tee, you then encounter bunkers on the left and right side
of the fairway and on the left and right side of the long,
skinny green. The top of the middle of the fairway begins a
slope downhill toward the green.
|
 |
| Hole 17
"Jungle Palms"
Two dozen palm trees run along the back of the large,
sloping green that is guarded by bunkers at the front right
and left. The hilly rough surrounding the green makes balls
feed into the bunkers.
|
 |
| Hole 18
"Final Stretch"
A great finishing hole, there are lots of moguls giving you
many uphill and downhill lies in the fairway. You start with
a downhill tee shot and then it's uphill to the large green.
Stay clear of the bunker on the right side of the fairway,
and, on your approach shot from about 120 yds., be sure to
take enough club to clear the wastelands that protect the
front and left side of the green.
